Boy, the shelves of my local grocery store are cleared of rice, save for whitey rice like Uncle Bens. The Asians are stock piling, thinking either prices are going to skyrocket or there will be massive shortages.

I'll worry when Asians start buying Uncle Bens. Then you know there's a real crisis.

And yet you clicked on the subject. That's why we have subject lines. So you can decide whether or not you want to read. But I dunno off the top of my head, if Asians are panic buying rice here, they might start panic buying in Korea.

They lowered the bar yet again for ESL teaching, did they?

How are the prices?

I bought a kilo of rice last week and paid W3,000, which I think is the same as before.

8 kg bag of short grain rice for $10. So that would cost you about $24 in Korea. Koreans are happy as beavers in a wood pile to pay 240% more for their rice!
