Seems like they might do away with them there horse hair wigs, because clients or whoever are in the court get intimidated by a lawyers when they wear the things. |

It's only barristers and judges that wear wigs, not lawyers generally. Barristers are experts in a particular area of law (and cannot be directly consulted) and solictors are like general practitioners. The analogy of the family doctor and the cancer expert in a specialist cancer hospital holds (though not with respect to wigs ) |
