I have not gotten my pension from W School Corporate Offices in about 2 years.
I have gone to the labor and pension office and can't do anything for me. I think they might be filing for bankruptcy.
Has anyone gotten paid by them or can you please offer me some advice?
Thanks! |

What excuse did they give you why they can't help? I'm surprised the Pension Board isn't helpful; they're usually sharks when it comes to broken pension laws. Or have you been talking to the regional offices? If so, go up the chain of command to the head offices for both. Regional droids either (1) know dick about the laws they are supposed to uphold, or (2) tell you they can't help you because they can't be bothered helping you, whether because of the perceived language barrier or out of sheer laziness.

Only so they can avoid their finacial responsibilities and open up under yet another name in the near future, I assume.

Hi i work for a hagwon that was once a w school. we had problems with being paid in december/january time (at one point the president came to the school and said he was only able to pay 30% and would pay the rest next week.) we got our full money but think the korean teachers had to wait for a while for theirs.
Anyway the next month he had sold it to a publishing company no problems after that. Apparently ours was the only hagwon he had making money... so of course he sold it. With business sense like that not surprised hes going under..
good luck hope u get ur money |

I thought the pension board would have helped too. The pension board claimed that the corporate office was bankrupt. They also claimed that some teachers sued the owner, but the owner won for some reason.
I think the owner is W School sold it, so the pension office thinks I could get paid if that happens. The problem is time is not on my side. I will be leaving Korea in a couple months. I have been waiting 2 years for this money.
So frustrating! |
