Hi, it's been a while.

I'm looking at my options for returning to SK, but it pretty much looks like it will be in October. I was wanting a public school job, but September is the right time for that, right? Any heads up on October positions (in Daegu, BTW).
There's also the possibility of waiting it out until the March start, but then I have a lot of time to fill. What could I do for the months between (work-wise, legally). Are there any suggestions about other countries where I could get a contract for that amount of time?

I'm in a similar position as I finish at my hagwon in late August and I don't want to jump straight into another job in September.

It really depends, I guess, on what's important to you and also where you're from but I think I'll be heading back to Poland for the first semester of the school year there. It runs from late September to late January/early February- perfect for filling that hole!

You can get PS teaching jobs here all year around. People pull runners and quit jobs for various reasons. Don't worry.

While September is one of the peak hiring seasons for public schools there will be no shortage of public schools available in October ... I was in a similar position last year looking for an April job when the bulk of hiring was for early March ... But had no problem at all ... and I gather that this has not changed ... If anything there may be more jobs available than when I was looking ... This will come from both not filling all jobs, schools hiring directly, people leaving who like me started at odd times in the year ... etc ... I would just say be clear when you are looking for a job when you will be available ...
