I'm interested in getting some kind of "Teaching Business English" cert or class over the summer here in Seoul, either in person or on-line. Any reccomendations/websites I can check out? |

http://www.britishcouncil.org/korea-teaching-centre-cambridge-celta.htm
I would recommend that you do the CELTA if you have the time and money over the summer. This is a section on Business English during the CELTA and contact Michael Bowles at the British Council. He maybe able to help with any questions you may have.
Otherwise, get in touch with the IATEFL and they offer subscription to Business English SIGs (www.iatefl.org).
Good luck and any questions, don't hesitate. |

Thanks for the reply.
Time, yes. Money, no. I have a minor in ESL/Linguistics, I don't think the CELTA would be worth the 2 million won, at least given my history.
btw, What's a SIG? |

Well when you become a member of IATEFL, they will offer one free subscription for SIG. A SIG is a Special Interest Group which includes many different areas but the one that I am a member of is Business English.
There are many journals from IATEFL and the Business English SIG also send a magazine related to Business English Teaching. I hope that is useful but the IATEFL is the way to go if you don't want a CELTA. |
