I just have em call me Aaron. Most my high school teachers had us call them by their first names back home, so I told my students on the first day to just do the same.

I'm called 'Sir' by most of my students, but some of them use my first name and some (from other classes) call me only my last name, which I try to correct. The problem came up because there was already a teacher here with the same first name as mine, Ya, and in a country full of people named Kim, the administration couldn't handle the confusion and told the students to call me by my family name. Rolling Eyes

I correct my students the first day and tell them to call me either Ya or Mr. Boy, but most call me 'Sir'. It doesn't seem to be too formal for them because I still get hugged.

I didn't really tell them what to call me. The co-teacher introduced me as (name) Teacher.

But usually they call me "Wa-Na-Min" (native teacher).

Most of my co-teachers go by "Ms./Mrs./Mr. (surname)".

But I go by "Ms. Dana" (my first name), only because my last name is really long and complicated. And "Dana" is easy enough for them to say . . .

i always get told by koreans that i am cute, so i thought i should have a cute name that the students could remember, so i initially told them to call me "puppy teacher", but i guess they didn't like it, or it was too difficult, so they call me "dog baby teacher"

At my adult hagwon it's just my first name- we're all adults and besides, they're older than I am anyway. Most of them have English names which I use to address them too.

At my public school I try Mister plus my last name, but only a few really get it. Others say Mr. (my last name) teacher. I guess they have trouble with the concept of not using the title.

With kids it's Mr. [last name] or teacher.

With adults it's first name.

I taught my first year students to say, your highness, your grace, your eminence, and for extra points, "all knowing lord of beer". Unfortunately, mot of the stick with sem + first name, or first name + sem.
