Has anyone noticed the guy who stands in the entrance of Gekko's and trys to sell his paintings to people who are coming in/ leaving the bar.

Does anyone actually buy his stuff?

Does he actually live off the sale of his work?

He's from somewhere in Africa. I've seen him walk into the Mosque.

What he's doing is kinda the visual arts equivelent of busking. Then again
he might become the next Jackson Pollock.

If you can't paint well, Paint big.

I have known him for years. He gave me one of his paintings a few years ago. He is a well known artist. He has a studio, and in it you will find works priced at well over a million. He sells a lot. Don't let the street scene fool you.

That would surprise me. It's been a couple of years, maybe it's a different guy.

Do you guys sometimes scroll down the threads titles and mix 'em up just for a flash in your mind by accident. Like I saw the 'Men going shirtless in Korea' title then hit this one and immediately read 'Guy selling his shirt below Geckos' and I just thought how wierd until reading it properly.

Are the occurences of this type of eye activity you-know-what flashbacks or are these tricks of the eyes more commonplace for everyone? They bloody annoy me.

I used to chat with him a lot. He's Egyptian. He spends time living between Europe, Japan, Thailand and Seoul. He gets a lot of girls. He's pretty ok to hang out with. I don't like his art though and used to feel a bit guilty about never showing any interest in it.

Getting back on topic.

His name is Akmed. Don't know his last name. He has a studio nearby.
He's from The Sudan. He left for obvious reasons. He preys at the Mosque onthe top of hooker hill. He's also shown at Geeko's garden. He's won numerous awards from The United Nations for peace related exhibitions .
He has a CV that lists numerous exhibitions thoughout the middle east.

He's been known to employ other Sudanese people to stand in for him when he's busy.

He's actually one of the more intesting characters you meet in Iteawon.
