No idea why people still ask actors for their opinions on anything.
Quote:
"Im, you know, not happy about the way the Chinese are treating the Tibetans, because I dont think anyone should be unkind to anyone else. And so, I have been very concerned about how to think and what to do about that because I dont like that. And then Ive been, this, you know, concerned about, oh, how should we deal with the Olympics, because theyre not being nice to the Dali Lama who is a good friend of mine. And then all this earthquake and all this stuff happened, and I thought, is that karma? When youre not nice that the bad things happen to you?"

Rumor has it that that some of the cast of King Solomon's Mines pissed in Stone's bathwater on the set of the film for being such a delightful individual.

So maybe she knows a thing or two about karma, huh? Laughing

You and me both. Most of them, as you probably know, barely finisehd high school. They have Hollywood good-looks. They have money. Therefore we ought to value their opinions on foreign affairs. (Where is the "raises hands in the air and shakes head in disbelief" icon?)

Like Janeane Garafolo says in Team America, "As actors, it's our job to read the newspapers and then go on TV and say what we read as if it's our own opinion."

To which Matt Damon responds, "Matt Damon."

I think a lot of people were thinking the same thing as Sharon Stone, if only in a smug, ironic way.

However that may be, I do hope your "lot of people," smug elites or not, do not use "all this earthquake and all this stuff" when organizing their thoughts on the matter. Wink

You can thank the Clintons for schmoozing the actors/actresses so much. Yuck. As if we give a toot what actors have to say about political things.

Yeah, like all those Clinton-era actors and actresses who produced the likes of Ronald Reagan, Jesse Ventura, and the Gubernator. I doubt that the Clintons can claim credit for politicizing Hollywood.

Notice the fundamental differences...

The actors you listed all ran for office and won.

What of the Clinton-fed actors/actresses? Do they do anything besides bitch?

Well...speaking of "bitch," Barbara Streisand almost ran Warren Beatty for president. Does that count? Laughing

further to that "pee in the bathwater" story i know of a guy in an expensive vancouver eatery who pissed revenge into sharon stone's soup because she was being a total bitch to the serving staff.

when she was at the elbow room, a diner famous for its abusive staff - i.e. "refill? get your own fucking refill you fat bitch, you need the exercise!" she pushed her and her entourage's way to the front of the line-

"sorry ms. stone, we know you're a famous talentless 40-year old bitch and all, but you have to wait in line like everyone else."

"hm, yes, i guess i am a human just like everyone else."

"that's not what the people who work for you say."

yeah. last person who should be talking about "treating people like shit." i bet her "friend" the dalai lama mutters "what an evil bitch" after she saunters away from his altar for poser jewddhists.
