Here's something that I've only just realized after several years here - Korean cars hardly ever have bumper stickers.

Back in NZ we'd have loads of stickers all over the bumpers and back windows, the more serious one highlighting some topical political, social or green issue, the more lighthearted ones simply making a joke.

Here in Korea all I've noticed is stickers for things like "Yeosu Expo 2012" or something promoting the winter olympics etc. I've got a couple of anti-grand canal stickers sitting on my desk but those are the only political ones I've seen.

Has anyone else ever noticed this? What's the reason for it?

Dude, what's up with this Grand Canal thing? Are they really going to do it? I wouldn't mind being second chair on the engineering crew, but I'd need to step up my vocab in Hangul quite a bit. That would be one hell of a trench, but what a concept!
