It was my friend Sid who told me to come here. |
Let me guess, 1967. You've been here 41 years? Far out. |

they dont test for weed, though i personally wouldnt risk it, they test for whatever substance is produced that naturally breaks down other drugs, coke, pills etc. Basically stay off any drugs bar alcohol and fags for about 3 weeks are you are fine |

If you 'friend' can not handle being without the 'good stuff' then he should not come. Although the chances of him getting caught if he does smoke up would be remote here. The penalty, if he does get caught, would be harsh. Also it would make life just a little more difficult for the rest of us. |

As far as I can tell there is no real "official" policy on the medical checkup or drug test. Whatever hospital you go to will test you for whatever they want and Immigration will deport you if they don't like the results.
If you did use drugs other than alcohol then I would have thought there would be better countries than Korea to live in. Cambodia, for instance. |

The cannabinoids test was dropped last month or the month before and that's the stuff that stays in your system longest. Take KirbyMagnus' advice, exercise a lot and drink lots of water and sweat anything else out of your system. Apply for a job now and it'll take a month or two to process your application, and by that stage it'll be out of your system.
And if you think you can do drugs over here, get a copy of Midnight Express and watch it. Attitudes here are very different to back home. Don't do it.
To the haters: get off your moralistic high horses. Do you think soju or cigarettes are any better for you than most drugs? And I know which substances cause more harm to society. |

Find a new, good hospital. You should be able to tell the hospital exactly which tests you want. |

What is it with 'friends' and drugs.....? I don't know..... |

How about everyone who has ever smoked a joint stays home ONLY IF every guy here stops dating Korean women? Really, which one adds to our 'reputation' more here? |

Dating Koreans doesn't exactly result in stricter visa laws. Simply put, without debating the morality: dating is legal, drugs are not. |

California Medical marijuana is not grown in Canada. And Alaska weed is DEFINITIELY not grown in Canada. Put that in your pipe and smoke it. |

I beg to differ. Maybe not directly, but foreign guys sweeping up the female talent definitely adds to anti-foreign sentiment. Ask any guy who walks down the street with a K girl here. Furthermore, marijuana is illegal here, but that's not what the thread is about. The thread is about someone who smokes it back home, whereever that might be. Maybe his 'friend' has a medical condition in Canada that allows him to smoke. Or maybe he doesn't believe all the after school specials his guidance counsellors showed him in Junior High. I don't know if you're Canadian, but any Canucklehead here will tell you it really isn't a big deal (legally). Would you advise someone planning on living in a Muslim country to stay home if they ever drank a beer?
In any event, I compared pot smoking in the West to dating a Korean here to illustrate how ridiculous it is for anyone to care about either. |
