Any of your kids playing with acetone?

Spotted two bottles around this week. One I can''t remember where but didn't think anything of it until today when two of the worst girls in the school were playing with it in class.
Both rather red eyed and glazed over. Messing about with it dissolving ink on the table.

it's the substance of choice when nothing else is available - if you do care even a bit - keep an eye out and seek prof advice (research it, etc.)

kids get hooked on inhalants all the time, some wind up brain dead, suicidal, or just plain f*cked up.

if something like inhalant abuse catches on here in K all hell will break loose for sure, what with the "keepin' up with the Kims" mentality, not to mention peer pressure to do what the other kid is doing.

I DO hope you are wrong - but don't hesitate to be safe rather than sorry.

I hope they are just pissing about with it.

The bottle I saw earlier in the week was being messed about with near a desk, they were rubbing the ink off. Can't remember where I saw it or what year it was in. It was only seeing another bottle that made me think about it.

Thankfully nobody else has piped in claiming their kids are up to it so with any luck they are just having fun and don't realise how it looks to an opened foreigners eyes.

Problem was their eyes were red, their noses were red and around their mouths were red. They were more giggly than normal and happily messed about quietly at the back of the room.

We shall see. Mentioned it to the KT and she will keep an eye on them.
