I called Pension several times last week at 1355, but evrything was in Korean. I can understand enough that I didn't hear "yung-oh" (English).

My PS has taken to calculating pension based on the 30% foreigner tax reduction. (for calcualting year end income tax, 30% of gross is subtracted and tax calculated from there.)

So what it means is that instead of having 107,000 (or so) taken out, and the school paying the same, they are only taking 71,000. They originally tried to explain that my base salary is 1,400,000 won. I told them I wasn't a sub-contractor, so they came back with that.

So.... is there a different number I should call? If not, which option should I select when I dial 1355?

Does anyone know the english extension. This is happening at my public school too and I want some answers. Does anyone know if this 30% drop in pension is legitimate?
