Good number of us above 50 crowd out there. My compliments to those of you who have made a life for your self here in Korea. It truly is a good place to live and work if you want it to be. People with a commitment to give the time are being rewarded for their hard work. I have to say ALL of the people who made the posts regarding their age and associations are A+ people in quality and character. Cheers to all of us above 50 professionals. Very Happy

Laughing Same goes for you if you shove me. I'm not even close to 50 btw.

Oh..what am I talking about..I avoid subways and buses.

So if you (adjumma) T-bone me in your car and try and run from the scene of the accident, then I will kindly chase you down and call the cops on you (yes it's true and happened).

Good.
My 60th birthday is this year, and I've heard a rumor that 60 was the mandatory retirement age for foreign teachers.
I was afraid the rumor might be true.

It could be my imagination, but it seems to me that the discrimination against older applicants is on the decline--and started to decline even before the Neil-gate scandal. Perhaps directors have learned from experience that there are more important qualifications than hair color and eye color.

Doing some research towards possibly a different position for my next contract somewhere in or around Seoul (if possible) and stumbled across this thread.

I'm 64 in July.

That's what I know about that.

Regards,
Art
