What is better: going to Yonsan and buying computer components or buying them online? I'm seeing a lot of good stuff, CHEAP, on Danawa and Gmarket and was wondering if I could get them cheaper at Yongsan. Something tells me things may be a bit more expensive if I go because of all of the haggling I'd have to do. Answers?
Thanks guys! |

Ordering online is better. Going to Yong-son is fun but a hassle, IMO. Prices? Just choose the lowest online. I find a lot of shops ask more than the lowest (or don't carry what you want) and going from shop to shop and haggling sucks. |

Ordering online will vastly icrease your chances of getting the make and model you want. Yongsan is full of the same 4-5 models of each thing. |

I hate haggling, so I'm agreeing with the others. I found online to be cheaper as well, like Spliff. |

You always get it cheaper at the source. I guess it depends how much you want to save?
Last time I went there and haggled I saved over 40k off my hardware purchase vs. Internet prices. That is worth my time. |

Hi folks,
Within the last hour i have started getting pop ups on my laptop advertising antivirus software. The pop up says my computer is riddled with viruses and that i should download the software asap. Obviously i didn't download it and closed the window, however it has happened another 3 times.
I have McAfee and am running a scan just now but is there anything else i can do? |

there is a possibility you downloaded a trojan or malware, i would either look for a trojan remover from mininova.org
or
is it a malware advertisement thing that keeps popping up asking you to buy their software, and telling you you are riddled with viruses, it is probably also slowing the hell out of your computer / internet in general and you can't close the pop up either??
if it is the second one then Mcafee is useless, i had the same problem a few weeks back, i just backdated my computer to a recent restored point, if you have windows just go to:
start -
------ all programs -
----------- accessories -
------------------system tools -
---------------------------system restore
when you are in system restore just click on one of the dates that are in bold and let your computer restore to the previous date...you won't lose and documents or anything like that so don't worry. |
