Brought way too many clothes...
Mon-Fri I just rotate the same 3-4 pairs of pants and 4-5 shirts. Would have definitly cut on the amount of "casual" clothes.

The only thing I would have brought more of is my prescription medicine. Back home, I got one prescription about 10 years ago, my pharmacy has a copy and I just pop in every time I need a refill. In korea, I have to visit the doctor EVERY time I want a prescription and he doesn't even check me out...I just show him the empty bottle...and he fills it out. One time I went, I never even saw the doc, one of the secretaries/nurses at the front filled out the form and got the doc's signature.

A huge, 110-volt blow dryer. Not only could I not plug it in, but a few months after arriving I cut my hair and had no need for it anyways.

i haven't bought jeans here either, jthey are terrible...ust took over about 15 pair with me, most have lost any shape they once had and some have even lost thier crotch Shocked

the main thing i would recommend you bringing is a laptop, you will get very bored after work without one!!!

my g.f didn't take tea bags so she got them sent out, and i also badly missed brown sauce, but we have them now, apart from that korea has pretty much everything you need.

You can never bring too many clothes if you're not shaped and sized like a Korean. I am on the extreme end at 6'6", so if you've got large feet or something like that it can be hard to find stuff here, even in Itaewon there is a limited selection.

Deodorant is a good one to bring. When I was here in 2004 E-Mart carried a decent selection, but now they don't. Same goes for any other specialty health/beauty product you like from home.

I agree whole heartedly on the spices, although the spice situation is getting better here.

I don't use them, but if you are a tampon user and don't like applicators then you need to bring those.

More cold medicine and big bags of cough drops. I've only found the rolls here.
I'm glad I've got friends in the military

NyQuil. There's plenty of cold medicine in Korea and it's cheap but they don't have NyQuil.

PCs and laptops are easy enough to buy in Korea but an English copy of Windows is a good idea.

I second bringing cold medicine and pain relievers. I remembered to bring those this time around. Also, when it comes to pain relievers, if you suffer from migraines, bring your own stuff to control them. I would rather take a couple of Excederin Migraine than take three pouches of pills for five days that the doctor gives you (which happened the first time I was here, had a terrible migraine, missed work, and it was strongly suggested by the school I go and see a doctor. Just took the tylenol from it and took those.).

I also brought taco seasoning and ranch dressing mix. Wish I could get corn tortillas here.

Less clothes. more toys. xbox, computer, bass.

deodorant you can get, it's just way more expensive.

CONDOMS.... they are tiny here and if your a guy they wont fit. if you're a girl, the guy you are dating will love you for it.
haha.

smokes? but you get used to the cheaper smokes in korea after a while.

Not drugs... haha. I would never chance bringing anything over.

meat.. haha. I don't really care about it now, but they have limited selection on sliced meat.
