That is rather nice of the Korea Post Office to make a delivery to Pensacola Florida.
Above and beyond the call of duty.
Did they deliver it to your friend on a red motorbike? |

Not to poop on your lovely news but most likely the reason it takes so long to get here from the states is that your address is written in English. English being a language the delivery people most likely don't speak. So once it arrives in Korea it probably sits on a shelf for a week until the guy who speaks a little English gets a chance to look at it. I know having my address in Korean sure cut about a week off of delivery from things back home.
Shipping things to the state goes quicker because the read English and can deal with it as soon as the get it...
Not to mention shipping things home get a 13 hour head start due to the time zones.
That all being said I haven't had a problem with Korean post but I dont find them any different then any other country. |

I find Korean Post to be a lot better than Canada Post and a lot cheaper. |

If only it was so easy to fix you. You take off the slippers and socks but the ugliness just stays>.< |

Woah I can't believe the postage rates on a box sent from Canuck by Canukistan Post. It's way more than KoreaPost would charge for a box to Canadia. I agree KoreaPost ROCKS. |

With all the complaints about Korea that turn up on this board, including from me, I gotta say this: The Korean post office is amazing, much better than any delivery service I've ever worked with in the U.S.
I sent a couple of DVDs to a friend as a gift. The cost of postage for express delivery was 15,000 won. The package went out Monday afternoon, arrived n Pensacola Florida by Thursday morning (today). |
Hit the soju bottle to celebrate, did ya?
I'm glad you the package went through but it's a mere anecdote.
So let's trade anecdotes.
I have had not one, not two, but three letters mailed to me by 1st class registered mail from the U.S. to a large city in Korea and all of them took nearly a month to arrive. I'm still waiting on a fourth.
So much for the Korean P.O. Give me FedEx or Big Brown any day. |
