It's true. My hamster, Hashbrown, turned into a raving lunatic when I gave him to someone when I took off from Korea for half a year. He was also given to me by a student. Well not really given.. she found it abandoned and kind of left it on my desk since her parents would never let her keep it.. He had a hard life. Presumably still does with whoever has him now.

He was really jealous of my girlfriend too. Actually I think maybe he was a she. I was surprised at the amount of personality (s)he had. The last hamster we had back home was dead for a week before we even knew it since he hardly ever moved anyway. I went to pick Melvin up one day and he was stiff as a board curled up in a little ball.

This is exactly what I am talking about. Has anyone else ever looked into a hamsters black, beady eyes as you are leaving the house? Even for a few hours, they miss you. Now think about what that hamster has to deal with when it never sees you again. Never.

Shame on you davolala.

Ok, I just realized what a controversy my hamster situation has caused. Bibbitybop - I still don't know if you are being serious or not. If you are serious, then you are one funny dude. If you aren't serious then your not quite as funny. Anyways just so you know I am taking good care of my hamsters for the time being... and they are still available if anyone wants them.

If I am serious, it's not funny, it's serious.

Yeah, I thought you might get confused. Think about it a little longer and you might get it.

davolala, you don't get it. I'm not confused, you are confused. The hamsters are confused. You brought it upon the hamsters, upon yourself and upon this forum for giving away a lifelong friend with no remorse.

You need to discuss this issue with the most important party involved. You know who that is. The hamsters.
