he's a perfect example of a guy who's not taking advantage of the blessings genes have given him.
though well into his forties, he retains his hair..and retains what have always been boyish facial features.. but he's allowed himself to get fat. (he's not obese by any stretch , but with his frame, weight gain makes him look "round" and chunky)
and maybe being on Broadway has made him full of himself but when I saw him on Conan O Brien, there was little of that impish boyish charm that made him Ferris Bueller.
he just looked and acted like what he is.. a middle aged man.
what a waste. He has all the tools to escape that prison, but refuses to shed his middle aged man physique. |

but it's fair to say "generally speaking", nature is often more kind to men in the aging process.

and because of classic and historically accepted standards of beauty, facial lines don't detract from the masculine ideal which is more along "rugged" lines (indeed they often help!) whereas the feminine ideal is supposed to be "delicate" , ergo wrinkles and lines detract from it.
Age catches up to everyone but certainly the 40's a lot more men can outrun it for at least a little while longer.
Nota Bene: George Clooney is 47, or 48 these days.. whereas Pitt is around 44 I think.
Best looking woman in that age group I've seen is Cindy Crawford.. who in her mid forties still looks absolutely amazing, but can no longer serve as the sex symbol that Clooney and Pitt can continue on being. |
Fair Enough. I just thought saying 43 was unattrative was a bit ignorant. I think these days if a woman takes care of herself she can still look hot in her 40's. SJP is a moose though.
I think guys are really doing themselves a disservice when they dismiss older women. |

agreed re dismissing older women. I never said 43 was unattractive. It is on many not on everyone.
