best Mexican in the Texas Panhandle, period. sorry, can't remember the name but if you are ever driving thru on 287 you can't miss it (assuming it's still there).

Obviously whoever rated these places haven't been to the place in Songtan. Mexican chefs that make everything from scratch, shells, tortillas and all.

I wouldn't even call some of the above Mexican food--more like KorMex.

Does this place have a name? I keep hearing it referred to, but rather obliquely.

We went to Dos Tacos in Gangnam and it was pretty good. The restaurant is really small but the food was good.

Is that the one up the hill from the main street on the left.

Small place with a little bar where you can see him cook. Upstairs has no windows?

I didn't get what everybody raved about that place. The wife and I went there last Chusok and the food was just bland. The spiciest sauce they got all worked up about saying very spicy was bland. It was quite spicy but not much flavour

We were really disappointed.

I've been to most of these places here and in the other Mexican thread, in my quest (mainly curiosity) to find good Mexican food.

In short: if this is the best there is in Korea, I will stop searching. I haven't had anything come close to even the worst Mexican restaurants back home.

Funny you should say that because you slackers have no idea what REAL "Mexican" food is. You guys seek Americanized "Tex-Mex" food not authentic Mexican.

I find it ironic you know nothings complain about "KorMex" when you guys eat AmMex and foolishly pass it off as real Mexican. Rolling Eyes

Funny how you assume NONE of us has eaten REAL Mexican, or actually traveled to Mexico.

Also funny how you assume real Mexican can't be found stateside. I think most of us know the difference between Mexican and TexMex.

TexMex can't even be done right here, much less authentic Mexican...

I've only eaten in Mexico in Masan, but it's a little piece of heaven for those of us down south.
