Just watched the evening news and it showed some of the protest from last night (sat).

It seemed to focus on the "force" the police used - often showing close ups of police pushing or stomping someone.

In the wide angle shots though, you could see some of the nasty tactics that the protesters were using as well.

I for one am glad the police are shedding the cartoon image. I'm not sure if this is the right occasion for it, but I'm tired of illegal violent protests gong uncontested. |

It was just on CNN Headline News. The protest looked so huge and they mentioned that 200 protesters got arrested, but didn't show the arrests.

I am having a couple of turkey burgers, but I wish costco had beef patties. I sure like those. As far as the cops, they are generally more visible this year when compared to last year for some reason.

I think the whole American beef thing is ludicrous and silly, but I will never feel sympathy for the man.

Can the protestors keep it up for another week, d'ya think? I've got cousins flying in, they're staying at the Westin Chosun (near ground zero) and I dearly hope they get caught up in the fury and jostled around during their stay. Would be a real pity if things were to suddenly simmer down right now and my kinfolk were to leave without a taste of the national character. I know! I'll have T-shirts made up for them that say (in hangul) "U.S. Beef Interests Will Not be Quashed by 3rd World Peasants!" (and they're not even Yanks, heh)

The protestors will get bored eventually or run out of steam. Do you think people can protest and protest over and over about this issue? I don't think so. The beef will be here by next week I think. I will buy it when it goes to Costco. I hope they have burger patties. Also, many Korean businesses will sell it probably and claim they are not selling American beef.
