Dude,
On my way home this morning, I was riding my bike and passed some Korean youth (20ish), when I heard a 'Yaa!' from behind me. It was the kid, and he was sounding off to me. I've been having a pretty serious bout of Korrhea lately, and wasn't willing to just keep going. I got off my bike and started to walk back to the guy, when he saw me coming, he started to take off his jacket, as if getting ready to 'rumble', and kept rambling at me in Korean. I was swearing at him in English, (turns out I've met this guy before in the local subway station, and he tried picking a fight with me then, too). All I could get out of his ramblings was 'Mi-guk, blah, blah, blah.' Finally, I yelled, 'I'm not F$$king American!! (no disrespect to my American friends out there, the 'F-ing' was for his benefit). As soon as I said that, he said, 'not American? Sorry.' And that was it.
I think that he may have some sort of mental deficiency, seriously, but if not, what the fu#k?
As fun as it would be to stomp these types of guys (and I know the chest-beating responses, some of you may have: "I'da punched 'em out...", I'm acutely aware of how easily it could turn into a 'beat up the foreigner event' for all the guys watching.
Just like the foreign women who get harrassed by korean men, and shout for help, only to have the man shout out to the crowd that she's his girl friend and they are just having a fight, if one of us guys were to get into a fight and couldn't explain to others what it was about, our opponent would be free to say anything he liked: "This guy said that the US should run down MORE school girls!"
Also, I've heard more than my share of stories on this board of foreign guys spending the night in the police station after a fight, while their Korean opponent was simply sent on his way.
Bother!
Just had to vent.
Have a nice day |

Is this true or just urban legend? |

That's what I always say when the cops ask me why I'm beating a white chick. |
