I'm guessing you mean "quotation marks"...
Quote: |
keep in mind that this comma and period inside the quotation marks business is strictly American usage. The British don't do it that way. They are inclined to place commas and periods logically rather than conventionally, depending on whether the punctuation belongs to the quotation or to the sentence that contains the quotation, just as we do with question marks and exclamation points.

As style mostly applies to written English, I'd say that isn't quite true. |

It's the B+ average students who obsessed in college over such things. The A students simply got it right or else broke the rules for a purpose.
The C+ students were frightened by talk of it or else said "Who cares?" |

Yes, thank you for bringing that up. In journalism, we consider that THE book for concise writing. That and the AP Style book. |

With the way he stated it, this sentence is also correct:
He called himself a "dildo-wielding. rapist" before committing himself much the pleasure of those around.

You can put them at the end of sentences as well. |
As well as capitalize the first letter of a sentence.
Hey mods, can you remove this post as it has nothing to do with general discussion of Korea, living here, business, news or anything? |
