Watch the glorious failure and self-implosion of official Canadian Multiculturalism in real-time.

It is so absurd that they simply couldn't help themselves. It is wonderful.

Quote:
Just coming back from a break. Lots of media interest, it seems: CBC, CTV (Im told), the National Post, local media, and a guy from the New York Times, whos doing a piece comparing how the two countries legal systems deal with speech cases. Needless to say, he cant believe what hes witnessing

http://blog.macleans.ca/category/blog-central/national/andrew-coynes-blog/

When the New York Times reporter "can't believe" the kangaroo courts, we are either on the verge of becoming a laughingstock or of ditching the multicult industry and their ethnic shakedown cons.

All you Canadians that piss and moan about how America is a "fascist" state need to point your attention back home. It is we who have stumbled down the road of thought crimes and government regulation of political opinion. Time to wake up.

How's this for nice democratic Canada:

So the Ontario Human Rights Commission can come into your home without warning or a warrant, go through your things, take away whatever it wants, and use it against you in a court where theres no presumption of innocence, the truth is irrelevant, and the verdict is always guilty. Oh, and youre on the hook for all your legal fees, while the person who complained doesnt have to pay a dime.

Any Canucks who moan about the PATRIOT act want to comment?

Now the dude wants the blogs and media who are following the kangaroo court to stop:
Quote:

Faisal Joseph tells us what he wants to talk about today.

Not Mark Steyn.

Not Maclean's.

Not anything in their complaint, as filed.

He wants to talk about the blogosphere's response to their human rights complaint. He wants to ask the tribunal to make the criticism stop.

He wants to be politically immune for his censorsious, fascistic, legally abusive ploy.

http://ezralevant.com/2008/06/please-make-the-blogs-be-quiet.html

This is so fucking pathetic.

Now they want it to be racist (By Law) to give a bad review to a comedy show that has muslims in it.

Quote:

Now Khurrum Awan is now criticizing Mark Steyn's criticism of Little Mosque on the Prairie.

Awan's literary skills are questionable to begin with; he speaks with an accent that sounds like it's from the movie Fargo. His writing is, well, iffy. He's not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

But he's giving his "evidence" about how Steyn's taste in comedy is... what? Illegal? That's all we're here to do.

And this is the jumped-up little twerp who whines when people call him a fascist.

Quote:

Faisal Joseph is entering evidence about the CBC sit-com, Little Mosque on the Prairie.

That's what we're doing here, in B.C., at taxpayers' expense -- and with three Maclean's lawyers, and four Maclean's executives. We're in a government hearing about whether or not Mark Steyn is allowed to give a critical review to a second-rate TV show.

And the kicker:
Quote:

The B.C. Human Rights Tribunal: we have jurisdiction over all political discourse
By Ezra Levant on June 2, 2008 5:22 PM | Permalink | Comments (19) | Trackback

Julian Porter continues to make objections to Faisal Joseph's ambush submissions of blogs and Internet comments, such as Five Feet of Fury and TVO online comments.

Porter did not receive any copies of same in advance. Again, in a real court, that would be laughed out of the court house. But this isn't a real court.

Porter made objections. He said those blogs and comments, made in mid-2008, in specific response to the CIC's own embarrassing antics, had nothing to do with a specific article published in Maclean's in late 2006. He objected to the lack of jurisdiction of the BCHRT, which doesn't cover the Internet.

But that's all legal mumbo-jumbo. The tribunal panellists didn't understand a word of it. Or, if they did, they didn't give a damn.

Because that would mean they couldn't hear more grievances, more bitching, more whining, more "my feelings were hurt!" testimony.

So all political conduct, a political discourse, is now within the tribunal's reach.

It's not just Maclean's magazine now. It's Five Feet of Fury. It's TVO.

And why the hell not?

George Bush wouldn't even be so bold.

France too:
Quote:

Bardot fined over racial hatred

A French court has fined former film star Brigitte Bardot 15,000 euros (12,000) for inciting racial hatred.

She was prosecuted over a letter published on her website that complained Muslims were "destroying our country by imposing their ways".

What was her worry?
Quote:

The fine - equivalent to $23,000 - related to a letter she wrote in December 2006 to the then Interior Minister, Nicolas Sarkozy, which was published on her website, in which she deplored the slaughter of animals for the Muslim festival of Eid al-Adha.

She demanded that the animals be stunned before being killed.

She said she was "tired of being led by the nose by this population that is destroying us, destroying our country by imposing its acts".

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/7434193.stm

Animal rights activists!! The whole project is collapsing under its own weight.

As us islamophibic cultural conservatives (as in, wanting to conserve our culture) have been saying for a long time, the more muslims a nation has the more unfree it will have to become to keep the peace. Canada, the UK, France. Here we go!

My God, and I thought the multiculturalism phenomenon was bad at the Ivy League Universities. Where does the CHRC derive its authority?

They get their authority from the Canadian government.

Today, the BCHRC declared it had jurisdiction over the internet. No joke.

Canada doesn't have any mention of property rights in its Constitution.

Canada is not a real country.

With the anti-Islam types claiming "Gay And Lesbian Equality" as one of their battle cries against Islam, it's always amusing when one of them goes off-message and indulges in a bit of old-school homophobia on behalf the cause.

That is totally unrelated to the topic OTOH. Actually, not totally. The muslimification of Western societies is causing a large drift to xenophobic feelings. Italy has recently destroyed a mosque (the government) and built a park named after an anti-islam writer. Germany is seeing a big increase in right-wing violence against mosques. The BNP is making inroads. Everything is changing. This idea that the freedom of everybody (be it the press or personal freedom of speech -- and personal security --) has to be curtailed under shouts of racist is just lunacy. The more that totally legitimate feelings of cultural imperialism are hushed as racist, the more people will embrace political parities that are just bad.

Anyways, social conservatives are a weird bunch. They fight against social progression but then weirdly morph into the greatest defenders of the prevailing progress that has been forced upon them. Mark Steyn is against things like gay marriage and adoption but is the most outspoken advocate for gay safety in Western societies. It is bizarre, but true. He even gets called a "racist" for discussing the scary and rapid rise of homophobic violence in formerly safe European cities.

Such is like in the upside down world of multiculturalism and third world worship.

Yes, we invite you to form your own judgments. Indeed.

Canadians: let your MPs know that you're concerned about the state of free speech.

I once had an argument with an anti-gay, anti-Muslim SoCon who was defending the persecution of gays in Nigeria. Roughly as follows...

OTOH: You say that you oppose Muslim tyranny, but then you support the repression of gays in Nigeria, where Muslim theocrats execute gays. Doesn't that strike you as a little odd?

SOCON: No. In the south of Nigeria, which is Christian, they don't execute gays, they just give them prison sentences. So the person still has the chance to repent. I think that's the best way.

Bascially, this guy thought that he was so much more freedom-loving than the Muslims because rather than killing homosexuals, he just wanted to toss them in prison for a few years. I suppose there might have been a distinction there if we were talking about some sort of utopian, rehabilitative institutions, but we were talking about Nigerian prisons.

And I've also heard SoCons express discomfort that the "pro-western" forces now routinely incorporate pro-gay positions into their rhetorical arsenal.

You must have some crazy peers to converse with.

The "socons" in question, Ezra Levant and Mark Steyn, sure as shit don't speak such garbage.
