Can some of you take a look at this picture and tell me what you think? The apartment will be for my girlfriend and I. Our recruiter sent this to us. I'm guessing there will also be a living room (the area where the picture was taken from)? Also, can you see a refrigerator and bathroom anywhere? Thanks a lot.

It looks like a typical loft type apartment/officetel.

It is better than you will get with 99% of hakwons. It is not unusual for a public school. The alternative would be 2 rooms squeezed into the same space in a villa (small walk up style apartment).

The fridge is usually built into the wall in the kitchen.

There will be a bathroom with toilet, sink and shower (may not be enclosed).

Your shower will be over your sink in the bathroom, next to the toilet in a room to the right after entering and i n the pic it'd be behind the kitchen.
The fridge will be on the left of the kitchen under the stairs (as you walk in, but to the right from pic perspective).

Came back to edit: Since you mentioned GF, depending on your height and if you end up wanting to be on your knees in the loft area your head will probably hit the ceiling and it might be uncomofortable for you to take that position.

I think the picture on the right is taken from around the stairs area. But it's horizontally flipped.

The pictures don't show much. A picture taken from the doorway would be nice, because there's a whole area back there that you can't see (or maybe there isn't and that's the problem).

The condition and the fixtures of the apartment look very nice compared to some of the chintzy crap they have in other places. It's an officetel, I guess, so the building will be nice too. I just worry about the size considering there's 2 people. It's hard to tell.

Yeah, I think the pic is supposed to expose two views. The two are definitely different apartments, however. If you look above the sink at the plexi-glass deal (what is that anyhow?) you can see that the two are different. I'll ask for a picture from the doorway looking in tonight. Thanks for all the responses.

That's two separate apartments. The picture on the right is of a different kitchen. You should call them on that.

But assuming the apartment is the one on the left, the bathroom/shower should be under the loft, maybe on the right (or left?) as you first walk into the apartment. My friend has an apartment like this, and it's very economically spaced / good for two people. My friend is married too and seems rather content with it.

However, considering they gave you pictures of two different apartments, maybe you should call them on their bluff and make sure you're not going to be sleeping on a stairwell platform with curtains on either side. Wink

It looks decent and somewhat modern...I wouldn't worry on it.
