all the gay teachers and/or their friendly straight fellows at the parade.
thank you so much. i was there as an official attendant of one lgbt group
we had a blast, arent we?

pretty surprised and happy.
last year's parade, i saw some foreign guys there and they seemed observer kinds. but this year, there are lots of non-korean or non-gay voluntary paraders. i saw some of them had brought hand-painted pickets and flags in english.

so fun.
thanks. see ya next year!

I'm happy to hear it happened, and disappointed I didn't know about it before hand. Was there much publicity prior to the event? I may well have gone, if so. I would have been there to support it, too. So what happened? What was it like? Any pictures or discription available?

I'm sure there are some obscure immigration laws sitting around waiting to deport participants.

Wish I would have known about it.

I'd be curious what an openly gay Korean man dresses like.

I know a few closet-gay Koreans, and they are the "straightest" dressing men I've met in my life.

I know. Korean guys all dress really macho, gay or straight, so you can't really tell them apart.

Korean guys all dress really macho? You are being sarcastic, right? It's so hard to tell on the Internet.

Ah ha! This might explain something weird that happened to me the other night...

So I'm walking around and out of the blue this middle aged, stocky, serious looking Korean man came right up to me and said

'Good night??? Let's go....'

and looked at me in the weirdest way before walking away and kept on looking back at me.

I'm not gay, but every gay guy I've ever known thinks I am.

I had a good time at the parade. I went with a group in order to support an aquaintance. Really congenial and outgoing. Nothing too flamboyant. Loved the shirts that said on the front: God Made Me Gay & on the back: 100% Gay Man...

the parade was over but still the fest is going on.
please check out http://www.kqcf.org

parades of every sexual minority groups, Hiv/Aids group and every other supporters and marching round Cheong-gye-cheon where 2MB(the president's name Lee(pronounced 'YI' in real by grammar= YI =2 in Korean) Myung-Bak aka 2 Micro-Byte headed) buld up. lol. and LGBT musical performances(i, especially loved L-FLOWer, the lesbian hip-hop band, they're so original! last year, John Cameron Mitchell invited), supporting speeches of KDLP party, New Jinbo party and the first lesbian candidate at the latest congress election etc. and after party @ reBall, Itaewon. big blast.

whats the straightest dress?

I was in white jeans and t-shit there then.
I think, actually there is no concept of gay dress code in Korea.
(amongst gay friends, often said, you look too f@g joke though)
No Korean men afraid of being in pink shirts and skinny color jeans.
(personally believe thats why especially north american guys can never dress well. seems they trying so so hard to look gay not. too much taboo and too much steroetype maybe.)
