Many places near mountain hikes sell bosintang for energy. There are about 200 in Seoul, but many are hidden as it's "illegal." If you go to Miasamgeori station and find the KB bank, directly across the street is a market alley/street. Go down it, it turns right. At the end of the alley is a bosintang restaurant. |

Gunja Station. Go out exit 6, take your first left. Walk a block and look for a side street on the left. You'll see a sign that says "보신탕". |

You probably will only see the finished part. You should consider going with a Korean, too. Many places know the condescending attitudes foreign nations have toward eating dog and many restaurants won't serve you without a bonafide Korean with you. |

No way.
The restaurant next to my house has a huge sign that says "Bo-Shin-Tang!"

Here's how I see it.
Anyone wanting to "be a man" by eating dog, ought to be willing to raise it , slaughter it , gut it and fillet it. The same goes for any meat but at least , unlike dog , it's not often brought up as a wind up or as celebration of apathy.
So perhaps you are willing to admit to yourself that you would not be capable of doing that. So spare us all the postruring about how culturally open minded you are. Even if you could look an excitable dog wanting nothing but your affection in the eye and slaughter it , you've achieved nothing more than a demonstration of a cold heart....what do you expect ? A badge and a pat on the shoulder ? Pathetic what a small d!ck can lead a man to do. |

It is technically illegal. Recently, people have called for "legality" because the dog meat markets are unregulated. But many things are "illegal" in Korea and are everyday occurrences.
bovinerebel, I was waiting for someone to jump in this thread the way you did. You went beyond my expectations.
The dogs are raised like livestock, not brought up like a family pet.
Wouldn't a man with a small cock want to eat horse or beef as they have large cocks?
Dog meat supposedly increases sexual stamina, not size. This assumption is stupid, of course. |

No , idiot. I'm not buying.
Don't come on threads trying to impress with your open mindness until you can look the animal in the eye and slaughter it. Until then you have no credibility as a human being to discuss the entire subject of eating meat. |

I don't have a problem personally killing animals for food. You have a good point. Meat-eaters should have to kill a cow, chicken, dog, etc. at least once in their life to understand the food process. This wasn't an issue 100 years ago with farming. But now we are mentally disconnected from our food source.
I would prefer to kill my own livestock. I know the conditions of slaughterhouses and factories. My knife is cleaner. |

Right. Growing up my family bought a farm and my dad thought he'd buy a pig to fatten up and slaughter for the sake of it. Before you knew it he'd become so attached to the pig that'd he'd bought it a mate to keep it company which lead to a troupe of 30 of them running around wild. Eventually he thought he had to put a stop to it and decided it was important than me and my brother and him slaughtered the pigs alone as a life lesson. We ventured out gung ho but couldn't do it. They are extremely intelligent and social animals , easily the equal of a dog in this sense. Even anti vegetarian Gordan Ramsay did the same experiment , went through with it and admitted it was awful. I don't think many of you have the b@lls either. You're detached. I don't mind if you eat meat but don't come on here as posture about how apathetic you are about it until you've confronted the reality of it.
The bushmen people of the kalahari hunt and kill their own food. When done they offer a long prayer, explanation of their need and an apology to the animals. Surely offering something that has died for your diet a little dignity and consideration is the freaking least we can do as a species. |

I've killed rats, rabbits, frogs, pigs, and a cat in labs, and still eat some meat...does that count? I didn't eat them though. Not that you're being reasonable, just wondering. |

There is no point debating me. The position of "is eating meat wrong" taken from the perspective of the most involved and directly affected party (the animals) is not possible to defend. You can't win. Give up. The only position left to take if you insist on eating meat is ..
1) Shut up and "sin" in silence.
2) Proclaim loudly how apathetic you are about being ethically impotent .
My suggestion , if you are interested is take the first option. It's one thing to be a cold hearted murderer..but quite another to boast about it. After all someone who doesn't feel guilty doesn't protest too much.
