So i just want to make sure i am not getting totally screwed on price for my trip/ I am leaving out of Incheon at 8:50 fridaynight the 20th of June, to bangkok, a lay over in bangkok till sunday afternoon (my choice) then a flight to Phuket around 4, then staying around there islands and stuff, then fliying back over night from Phuket to Seoul on the 29th arriving around 7 am. With taxes i am paying 671,000. Is this a good price. It has all the times i want and everything. Would i save tons of money if i got a Korean friend to book for me on a Korean website. Any help would really be greatly appreciated. much thanks |

Mr Squirrel is THE DUDE when it comes to getting cheap tickets to Thailand. No doubt he can get u a cheaper price as long as you're willing to fly on a lesser airline. |

OK then Mr Squirrel, I want to fly to Bangkok sometimes between 25-28th June and return about 6 weeks later. What airline should I look at if I want to be cheap? Through a travel agent, or book direct? How much should I pay?
Oh and the other poster, was your price including fuel surcharges and tax etc? |

Why not fly directly to Phuket from Incheon? Skystar, a budget Thai carrier, offers direct service but the only drawback is that you'll be generally limited to 3 night, 5 day patterns.
www.lastminute.co.kr.
A ticket can go as low as 158,000 won roundtrip excluding tax. |

It all depends on the airline.
If it's 600k flying with China something or other via some obscure airport on the mainland then it's a shite deal.
If it's the direct flight on the 8:50 Asiana then it's all good.
OP hasn't said who he is flying with. Makes a huge difference on the price of tickets.
Got to consider things like Thai airways having just upped their fares last month.
Who is the carrier to Phuket? It's not hard to book an air asia return ticket online yourself.
Also got to consider what airports he is flying from. Is it Supubum to Phuket or does he have to get to Dong Muang?
BTW Butter Ian.
China Eastern were far from substandard. Level of service was excellent, food was good, price was dirt cheap. |

Tax is a killer now. Other wise that is an ok price. Possibly get it cheaper using Air Asia but that would also mean different airports which would be a pest and cost taxi fares.
Thai airways direct flight is good. Lands a little late but not really a problem.
There are some decent priced hotels around the airport (within 5 minutes by taxi) if you don't want to go into BKK straight away when you land. |

For my escape flight in 3 weeks, I was booked on the China Eastern nonstop from ICN - BKK. However, the airline is apparently diverting planes and crews to assist in the earthquake relief efforts in Sichuan. They have rebooked me on a Korean Air flight that leaves around the same time. In any event, I've been hearing good things about China Eastern lately. The fare's probably better than the one Thai is offering, but the question right now is availability. I'd also look at EVA and Cathay Pacific. |
