What kinda deal will asking for six month (instead of a year) contact git ya'?
Airfare, bonus, vacation, less salary, etc... |

Are you in Korea or overseas?
In Korea = visa run (if you quality to make a visa run - newbies can't), airfare home, housing, pension, medical. You won't legally qualify for mandatory severance or vacation time.
Out of Korea - probably nothing unless you are willing to go through the visa process and pay your own way here. Initial E2's are issued for 1 year so short contracts do create complications for you and the employer.
IF you can find an employer and you pay your own way here you will probably get the same benefits as an "in country" applicant.
