From the North KLM through Amsterdam are normally the cheepest. |
KLM and Air France I`ve found are the cheapest for short term flights (1-3 month tickets) but 1 year date changeable tickets are too expensive with them.
KLM service is crap as are AF.......but Korean Air via Paris I`ve found are good
Emirates (who I`ve just used from Newcastle) are cheap for 1 year date changeable tickets but go via Dubai and thus takes about 2-3 hours longer than flying KLM/AF via AMS or Paris but you save a good few hundred quid. Last time I paid about 460 quid for a 1 year date changeable ticket (75 quid charge though)......but with the recent fuel price hikes add another 100 on top of that so I`ve noticed

If you're talking direct then probably only Korean Air and BA.
I booked to go home for my contract break next Saturday and I can't fly direct to Manchester so have to settle for Heathrow and then hiring a car and driving up.
If you want to fly via somewhere then you can more or less fly with anyone: I've flown Airchina, Aeroflot. I've seen Lufthansa, KLM, Emirates (not keen on the wait and it's longer 19 hours total compared to 14-15 hours with others). Every so often Aeroflot have a killer cheap return flight for about 500 quid, changing in Moscow.
My flight next week which I booked 2 months ago cost a grand with Korean Air, that's direct both ways. I'm being reimbursed so the price was never an issue. If I wasn't then I'd go for a cheaper one stop flight. |

It's looking like between 700 and 800 quid leaving from Gimhae in August going through HK. There's no way I'd fly with Aeroflot. Prices seem to be around 200+ quid dearer than the same time last year.
Don't forget to drive on the left when you pull out of Heathrow Domer. |

I`ve heard BA stopped doing direct flights from London to ICN? Could be wrong mind.
Thought about using Aeroflot in the past but still a bit wary of their dodgy reputation |

Check out their website, they've got loads of new planes. I had no problem with them. Still a bit cramped in cattle class. If you've flown Brianshair then Aeroflot is luxury.
Toon Army, you're right about BA. It's just KA that flies direct.

I intend to drive like a Korean as soon as I get there. MSN news 15th June 2008 "Teacher involved in massive 300 man fight on M1 just for tooting his horn" |

Was on expedia.com last week (travelocity doesn't seem to log in well!) looking for cheap flights.
Emirates, via Dubai, to Glasgow came in at $1,300 each.
Next day I was going to buy, the price had jumped to $2,000 and I never bought. |

I bought a ticket this week that would have cost me $200 less if I'd paid for it last week. |

I posted this earliar but i'll post it here now
Im flying from London Gatwick to Incheon on july 7th with Emirates and i bought my tickets christmas eve last year for 430.91(inc. tax), I havent got a problem with having a stop over in dubai (7 hours layover going, and 10 coming back haha.)
and looking on sites such as travelocity/expedia are a waste of time, its better to go on individual airline websites |

There are flights that fly from Manchester. Lufthansa has a route that is Seoul-Frankfurt-Manchester. |
I'm on that one a week on Tuesday! |

I fly from Manchester, and usually use KLM or Lufthansa as the cheapest options with minimal transfer time. I could also use Liverpool, but that airport is not as well serviced.
A good site for comparing prices is www.kayak.co.uk and you can use this site to check your local airport for prices. |
