|
|
This was my 4th year 'hosting' the parents. I put on a suit and danced around for the parents. The kids behave and everyone is happy. My current school is really laid back and mellow.
At my last job I had to 'practice' the class after school with the other teachers. The korean director was so anal about the parents coming that she wanted to 'witness' what we would be teaching. It was a nightmare.
I also loved the review cards handed out to the parents. So grandma got to rate my class. She understands not a word....ha ha ha. |

There were lots of complaints as usual.
Either you played to many games, or not enough games.
You were either too strict authoritarian. Or too lenient
You didn't give my kid any Candy and he cried all the way home.
You also didn't remember my sons name and you took away that dried up old dead cricket he carries everywhere. Your hair is too short it makes you look like a US soldier.Or It's too long it makes you look like a hippy.
You don't smile enough. You don't dress well. I can tell you didn't iron your pants. What did you sleep in that suit last night. You have a five o'clock shadow. Next time shave better. |

Mine is coming up in September.
I think I'll call in sick. |

I've done a couple, and also a video lesson. I've always refused to practice the class. Holy Crap! How dull is that for the students. If they've done it to death then they'll just be uninterested and bored when the actual day comes.
It's better to surprise them and have fun with a new lesson. |

This was mentioned in Prisoners of Wonderland.
The Director was very upset about the thieving teacher stealing the dead dried up old cricket. The boy was so tramatized
When I was ten I carried an unlit cigarette eveywhere. Could you imagine the publics reaction to that these days. |
