Hi everyone

The recruiting companies I have been using have all sent me vague descriptions of jobs. One oddity is that they do not tell me the school names or where they are located. Everyone of them has sent me the standard GEPIK application or the SMOE application. One thing they all have in common is that I have received no High school positions which I have adamantly pushed for. Every offer has been for a kindergarten or elementary school, even after the fact that I told them that I do not want to teach kiddies. I find it odd that there are no high school positions available throughout Seoul and the Gyeongi Province. Is it coincidence or providence?

Another thing I found about the recruitment companies is that some of them are linked together and are actually sister companies! Anyway Im still waiting on other offers from recruiters but I find it funny that none of them have taken any of my preferences into account.

Hope some of the other newbies on the forum are having better luck than I am.

goodluck to everyone in everything

CHUM

Tom once again thank you for the reply. In the link you provided I tried e-mailing Ms Dain Bae, about a week ago, but have yet to hear back from her-- anyone have her phone number by any chance?

Apply directly and avoid scumbag recruiters, especially those of you in South Africa. Don't pay "agency fees."
