|

Hi
if you finish your contract and leave Korea, and think about taking a new contract but you really just want a bit longer vacation, does your Korean bank account close? Is there any record of your visa closing that makes its way from the Incheon airport to whatever Korean bank you've chosen?
In my case I've got an F2 with multiple entry so I don't think the bank account would even need to close on the premise of an expired visa. |

Your account stays open until you go into a branch and close it. |

... no after a period of years(2?) I was told they would close it...
but depends on your bank I'd guess- also that would be years of no bank type actions on your part. I left around 10 bucks in each and they were fine after a year of doing nothing- but I bet they would burn you after years and years if you had big cash inside |

I had an account open for 5 years or so with no activity...no problems, I'm still using it. |

You can always open a new bank account easily when you come back.
I have an even more important question:
If you leave Korea for your home country before the last payday, how can you access your money if your Korean bank ATM card doesn't work overseas??? |
