Hi, I am coming back to Korea in a few weeks(I was teaching for two years before coming back to the USA) and am in Ansan this time. Any interesting things to do there? I am at a public school and ready to jump back into things. Any decent bars for foreigners? I had a psychotic roommate threaten to kill me (TWICE) and he failed before I helped get rid of him, so I can handle chaos. Any must-see things to do there not in the tourist books?
Any thoughts and ideas on the area appreciated! |

Which part of Ansan will you be located ? The Jungang area has a couple of expat watering holes there. |

I believe it's in Kyunggido, but any info on the area and province would be appresiated. I was in the south most of my time, and Seoul proper for a few weeks. Looking forward to getting back in the thick of things..... |

Ansan is on line 4 of the subway. It takes about an hour to Samgakji station. The Jungang area has a few bars foreigners go to. The Hangout Bar, Blues Bar, Boo Bar, and WA Bar are in the Jungang area. I lived close to Homever near Gojan station, and the foreigner plave was the Manhatten Bar. |
