Can someone tell me where exactly the protests are?
I've got to head up to Seoul and would like to avoid them. Thanks! |

Look at a subway map for City Hall. Stay away in a 1 km radius. |

I think they're around Gwanghwamun. That's where the US Embassy is. |

"The U.S. Embassy advises American citizens throughout the Republic of Korea to exercise caution during demonstrations and vigils protesting the importation of beef from the United States. We remind American citizens that even demonstrations intended to be peaceful can turn confrontational and possibly escalate into violence."
Quoted from the U.S. mission's daily brief. Even if you're unamerican (i.e. anyone who is not a blood-born American or is against George Bush, or as otherwise defined in Stephen Colbert's "I am America (And So Can You!)") you should subscribe to the daily Embassy briefings.
Seriously, what have you ozzies, kiwis, canucks, and limeys gotten from your missions?

Probably nothing. Some Canadians are known for thinking that they can walk through these protests unharmed because they have Canadian flags on their backpacks. |
