So my girlfriend's dad has an addiction for cameras. He likes to buy her a digital camera every time it's her birthday or Christmas. Unfortunately, she doesn't share the same passion as he does, and a result, the cameras have all been perfectly preserved in their respective cases. I finally decided to make the effort and put them all up on the forums for sale.

The first two are literally UNUSED - if you're skeptical, you're more than welcome to come by and inspect them carefully for yourself. The lens are perfectly clean, no dust, no dents, scratches, or wear and tear. They've been kept in their cases the entire time she's had them.

Pictures and links are posted below. If you're interested in any of them, please PM or reply in this thread, and we can either arrange for you to come by and look at any of them and/or purchase one. I'm putting up Amazon links so you can see other prices for the cameras she has - I will try my best to price them fairly.

1. Nikon Coolpix 8700

Description: 8-megapixel sensor captures 3264 x 2448 images for poster-size plus print enlargements
8x optical zoom and 4x digital zoom (for 32x total zoom)
Movie mode with audio; 5-shot buffer mode; fast start-up time
Store images on CompactFlash type I/II memory cards; Microdrive compatible
Powered by rechargeable lithium-ion battery (included); connects via USB 1.1
Boasting an impressive 8-megapixel resolution and 8x optical zoom lens, the Nikon Coolpix 8700 is a great choice for professional and advanced amateur photographers.

Link: http://www.amazon.com/Nikon-Coolpix-Digital-Camera-Optical/dp/B0001EY1GY

Condition: Like new. She has literally never used it.

Accessories: The camera comes with all original manuals, the charger, and two extra batteries, which, if you are an experienced camera user, are must-haves. A 512MB card is also included.

Price: 360,000w

2. Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ2

Description: 5 MP CCD captures enough detail for photo-quality 13 x 17-inch prints
6x image-stabilized optical zoom; 2.0-inch LCD display
14MB built-in memory
Stores images on SD memory cards; powered by 2 AA-size batteries.
As Panasonic will tell you, and we have to agree, that the most awesome thing about this camera is its Mega Optical Image Stabilization (O.I.S.) system. With a 6x optical zoom and the ability to make QuickTime films (with sound) that can be as long as your memory card is big, Mega O.I.S. really expands the image-taking capabilities of this camera.

Condition: Also like new. She has never used it.

Accessories: The camera comes a case and all manuals in their original packaging.

Price: 110,000w

3. Canon Powershot S2 IS

Description: 5.0-megapixel CCD captures enough detail for photo-quality 13 x 17-inch prints
12x optical zoom; 1.8-inch vari-angle LCD display
Records VGA film at 30 frames per second with stereo sound; includes wind filter and adjustable levels for sound
MovieSnap feature allows you to capture a 5.0 MP still image while recording a movie; also features digital zoom and manual focus options for movies
Powered by four AA-size batteries; stores images on SD memory cards
"the S2 has a very fast learning curve, outstanding accessory lenses, and overall best in class quality. If you are looking for the top camera in the new top consumer camera class, the S2 is it. Buy it and be real happy about how you spent your money." - Review on Amazon

Link: http://www.amazon.com/Canon-Powershot-S2-Digital-Stabilized/dp/B0009GZSSO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=photo&qid=1212834264&sr=1-1

Condition: Very good. Has a couple scratches on it, as her dad actually used it sometimes.

Accessories: The camera comes with a case (20,000w value).

Price: 220,000w

As I read on Amazon about these cameras, I found out that these cameras are actually very excellent - her dad, fortunately, has good taste. As you scour through Amazon and other online vendors, please keep in mind that I'm not charging tax or S&H. So anywhoot, reply in this thread or PM me if you're interested in any of them! I live close to Apgujeong Station (Line 3).

Your ad attracted my attention cause I'm interested in cameras.

I have a Panasonic Lumix and I'm interested to get a particular model of Nikon. I would consider getting another Panasonic if the price was right.

I noticed the Panasonic is a model that uses AA batteries so thats out.

The Nikon with extra batteries looks like a nice camera, but a quick comparison with other cameras makes it not worthhile to consider.

For example I saw an ad for a newer Nikon P80 for 369.99.

I think you should reduce your prices.

I saw this ad for a used Nikon like yours for 250 including delivery.

FS: Nikon Coolpix 8700 8MP Digital Camera

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Great camera, but I have replaced it with a Nikon D40 SLR. It's in excellent condition. Comes with Li-Ion battery, charger, SanDisk Ultra II 512MB memory card, cables, users manual and software. This is an 8 megapixal camera with loads of features. For a good review, go here: http://www.steves-digicams.com/2004_...nikon8700.html

Price: $250 shipped.

Thanks for that very informative post. By no means am I a camera connoisseur, so I appreciate extra information.

My better half is certainly willing to negotiate prices - if you're still interested in the Nikon, send me a more reasonable offer than the price I listed and I'm sure we'll be able to work something out. I was just looking off Amazon and the prices they were offering for "like new" Nikon 8700's.

Thanks again!

I'd be more interested in those prices for the camera she got last year...or the year before...or maybe the year before that. Wink

But, these guys are discontinued oldies from 2004-05.

True. While they are 2-4 years old, because they're more "pro-sumer" cameras (esp. the first camera), their value (in terms of usability) shouldn't depreciate as much as products that are more catered to the "point-and-click" crowd (which most of us are).

So again, I understand that their value isn't as much as it can be, which is why I'm more than willing to hear all reasonable offers Smile - She's more interested in selling all of them than trying to get maximum value.

If you're willing to take a cut on technology in the interest of your wallet, I think these cameras are great. 70K has been offered for the Panasonic so far - if you can beat it, that camera's yours.
