My girlfriend and I got on the bus, at the time the driver was talking some crap to an ajumma who wanted to pay the exact amount. i paid by card and my girlfriend paid by cash.
we get off the bus at our stop and then the driver says something and then starts raising his voice (they always fucking do this) anyway another guy on the bus said the bus driver thinks my girlfriend didnt pay. i say she did; I paid by card, she paid by cash, but the bus driver dug his fucking heels in and just would not accept it, by this point i was looking for a 1000 just to stop this ridiculous non argument. All i had was a ten thousand, so i tried to reason some more, but then i just felt this overwhelming loss of temper, opened my wallet and slammed a ten thousand note into the cash slot and walked off.
the bus driver and the guy who was translating came after me (but I just walked off, because there was absolutely no way to resolve the argument with the combination of the bus driver's stubbornness and the communication problems.)
I was having a bad day at the start but now i am absolutely fucking livid, this isn't the first time one of those pushy c***s has started raising his voice to me for no good reason either. |

| ???? I wouldn't done anything more than tell the guy he was wrong. 10,000? What would've happened if you did nothing? The driver would've just moaned some more. |

I kind of did it to make a point, if i just walk away, what if he rats me to the roz? unlikely but its just my luck that that would happen. |

thing he is trying to demonstrate to the driver that he is not the kind of guy who will try and save 1000 won by lying! so to show the the kind of guy he is he puts in 10.000 won and walks off! I can understand this!

Obviously, you weren't thinking straight. You have to look at things from his perspective. He probably believed what he was saying and thinking that foreigners disrespect Korea in general. Many Koreans really believe this. It's a pride issue. You should have have swiped your card again. Seriously, I always have Koreans angry at me for stuff like this. And they always raise their voices. You better get used to it. Otherwise you will lose all of your money.  |

| 10,000WON...YOU ARE STUPID. Why did you not just get off at your stop as you and you gf had already paid. I would just have pretended not to hear the bus driver like anyone else would of. |

Easier said than done, it's not that easy when you're the only foreinger and you cant speak the langauge. Maybe it's an honest mistake or he was part of the anti us beef protester and feels the need to take it out from you, either way that's what make it fun living in this country; you never what to expect once you step foot off from your door step. |

| I have to agree, why didn't you and your girlfriend just walk off the bus and take a different one? Paying 10,000 won was just stupid. Also, what makes you think they he won't try this scam with some other foreigners that use a bus card? I once had a bus driver accuse me of not paying the fair. A gropu of ajjuma's on the bus who say me pay by using my bus card were even telling him that I paid. The guy simply refused to believe it. After I called him some bad korean words/names, I put my card up by the transfer scanner. I told him to open the door and let me get off. After that he calmed down. |

| Rather than putting the 10 000 in the slot you should have put it in his g-string. Telling him that 1000 won was for the ride and the other 9000 is for a lap-dance. Job done! Everyone's happy and all the passengers get to see a show included in their journey. It'd make their day. |
