Actually, it is an insulting term where (and when) I come from.

I'm not sure that's the issue, though.

By injecting that into the 'newscast' the 'reporter' stopped doing her job of reporting the news and started editorializing the news. In this Anderson Cooper lets-become-part-of-the-story world of news, it only reminds me that I prefer the eloquence, sense of history, and forethought of the Jim McKays to 90% of what is called broadcasters and news anchors.

She is MSNBC's "entertainment girl," right? About as intelligent and qualified to talk about current events as yesterday's "weather girls" were. She should stick to Paris Hilton, Brad Pitt, and Charlie Sheen and leave the real issues to others.

What do words mean? I guess they mean what hypersensitive people tell us they mean, with each and every case interpreted in the worst-case-scenario, especially where an African-American finds him or herself the subject of our remarks, apparently.

Yes, he covers a lot of genres - with really mediocre results. I would have played down Firefox if I were trying to sell the director as being good at his job. What good movies Eastwood directed were long in the past, and were those in which genre expectations did half the job for him.

What I mean is that every director makes movies different, it�s like saying
Who is better Picasso or Van Gogh! Both are exceptionally good! It comes down to personal taste but as an aficionado or critic you need to point out their different styles and ways they express their art! Perhaps to you spike is better! But its clear spike lee is penned in on his genre!
Let�s see him direct a western or a ww2 epic to see his true style! Lets see him break out of that genre he lives in and express himself in other ways! He is the best at the style of movies he makes no doubt!
But he doesn�t take risks!

Now IM not saying spike is bad, ON the contrary I think he is an amazing director. Now if I was a producer and needed a director for a street genre piece or an African American story I would call Spike! Anything else I would call Clint!
Spike is good! Clint is more experienced! And it truly shows, it�s like taking a boy to a gun fight!

Maybe Spike Lee should've done the movie Braveheart with an all black cast, and a black William Wallace. I'm sure in his mind, they were all blacks anyways.
