Anyone know what it takes for a Philipino to visit Korea? I have heard it's quite difficult for them to visit and that they need to be invited. Any foreigners done this? |

Foreigners on a work visa (E2, E1, E7, D married to a Pinay ARE ABLE to invite her immediate family (usually parents) for visits of up to 90 days. The process is not hard and usually takes a week on this end and 4-5 days at the embassy in Manila.
For you to invite her as a guest of yours (Non-related Pinay girlfriend on a C3), I have no idea specifically how difficult it would be. There is NOT enough information to give you a specific answer.
It is NOT as onerous as it would be to invite her to your home country.
Best bet would be to go to your local immigration office and apply for a confirmation of visa issuance number. The bad news is that you may need to make several trips to get all the required documentation in order. The good news is that the application is free from this end. (She will have to pay a visa fee on her end when she gets it).

If you are not married, the chances of getting a tourist visa for a Filipina are almost ZERO! The only exceptions are if she has a FAT bank account and can prove that her and her family are wealthy, or if she has SERIOUS connections in the Filipino gov't and someone to pull strings for her.
I have several friends who are married to Filipinas, and none of them were able to get tourist visas for them as gf's...and they all tried EVERY avenue. One spent a considerable amount of money with a "fixer" to get a fake bank account set up in her name to show she had the finances to be a genuine tourist...and still got denied. |

That's interesting. I have a friend who just recently successfully got his Filipino girlfriend a visa, but that's for the UK. I guess the UK must be more willing to accept Filipinos. |

I don't nor do I have any plans to get a Filipina girlfriend, but why would it be so hard to get a tourist visa? Don't Koreans go all the time to the Philippines? Why aren't visiting rights mutual? |

It's because many filipinos come to Korea and overstay their visas to keep working illegally. The money is so much better here. There are tons of factory jobs (and other worse jobs) in which the Korean owners are more than willing to break the laws and hire illegal immigrants. So it's the Korean government's way of dealing with the problem. Rather than crack down on shady Korean businessmen, they make it nearly impossible for all filipinos to come here. |

LOL This is Korea! Although filipinos are more tolerant of the illegal koreans.

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) said Sunday there are some 240,000 South Korean nationals currently staying in the Philippines but only a sixth of them have been properly documented.
