2nd time this has happened to me.

first time was when asking my landlord how to use the washing machine.

he was positively confused (and got impatient very quickly, it was hilarious)

this morning I greet the VP at school entrance as always.. and say... one of my buttons fell off, where can I get/buy some needle and thread.

He asks some of the (male students). No one knows.

Then he shrugs and says.. I don't know. I am man.

this is seriously fucking funny. So is this the reason Koreas are so into their little married but sexless after a kid or two lives?

so that the women can "take care of them"? is this why Korean "eagles" move back in with mommy?

It's just too fucking funny.

what the poor Korean males don't realize is you can get women who will do all the "womanly" chores for you/around the house, give you a massage and then *beep* your brains out on a regular basis and be perfectly content doing so.

Not in the US of A of course.

but fly a little south and one begins to see the "light" Very Happy

I just can't believe/understand how these guys cannot take care of themselves over here though Smile

(and I hate "womanly chores" as much as the next guy, if not MORE... but if I have to do it/get it done, I will do it...it's not "rocket science")

I made my gf do my sewing because I told her I'm a man and don't know how to do that crap.

I belong in asia apparently.

hahahahahaha

I'd do the same if I could get away with it! Very Happy

that said, at least I will not/cannot be held hostage by a woman merely because I cannot or refuse to "sew" or do other things women "generally do".

I prefer negotiations from a position of strength Smile

I've told every women I've ever met, she doesn't get to cook for me, cause I'm better at it. Unless her mom is/was an italian-american housewife she'd better stay out of the kitchen. Hope she can wash a dish though.

Korean men are mama's boys. That's why

When I first came, I asked my man coteacher

Me:"Can you show me how to use the washing machine, rice cooker, and thermostat?"

Him: You...don't know how to use? You're female.

Me: .......................

Him: No?

Me: Well, the instructions and everything appears to be in Korean..and I dont know any Korean.

Him: Oh. I don't know. My wife takes care of those things.

Me: ..........................................Can you find out? I have to wash my clothes, cook rice, and turn on heat sooner or later.

I had to take 5 days of cold showers due to his laziness.

Thats to funny!!! You do belong in Asia. I was a apparel design major for 2 years and I can't even thread my machine. Obviously, I did not pursue.

Wow, Nicholas if that is the first thing you tell a women when you meet her I am guessing you are very lonely and bitter indeed.

if people would ask me how to sew, I'd say I am a MAN

don't see what's unusual about that comment

it's pretty much the same reason why I wouldn't ask a woman to help me repair my car

Why would he be lonely and bitter if he tells women that? My husband loves cooking, and is fantastic at it, whilst I am apathetic to the whole deal. Thus he cooks for us most of the time. I'd feel helluva rude if I didn't do the dishes afterwards

It's just me that thinks a man who wants to cook for you is a fucking great deal? Hmmm.

Ummm... I would rather have him be good in bed, I can always order out.

I would guess your priorities are a little skewed.

Wow, your husband is a good cook, congrats! Have fun washin those dishes.

Wait, you're telling me that a country where male children are treated like little princes, where mothers literally wait on them hand and foot, has somehow produced a nation of men incapable of doing even the most basic of housework?

Crikey. Didn't quite expect such antagonism, nor blatant vitriol, but whatever wee girl. Carry on.

these are the same "manly men" who in their late teen years and in their twenties, wear pink stuff.. like pink slippers with little teddy bear geranimal stuff on them.

just too fucking funny.

Latin mothers also treat their sons like little princes.. they might be waited on hand/foot more than their fathers.. which is saying a lot.. - Latin men are supposed to bring home the bacon and keep their wives sexually satisfied, and everything else gets taken care of - not a bad bargain if you really think about it.

I understand the male disdain and despise of "housework", I share it and have it in spades. I'd rather go out and hunt a saber toothed tiger.. than "iron", for example (one of the things that pisses me off the most about the cleaning of clothes in Korea - and air drying them in "outside" that stiff/starchy feel that I have to iron!!!

when I dried clothes outside in the US, they never ever dried that stiffly/starchy.. what's up with that?

that said.. if I absolutely HAVE to do it (in Latin America I could always pay some older woman (cheap too!) to do such things for me.. I will do them.
