I've never even heard of a $300 credit limit. The interest on this must be atrocious.

Back on topic: buy yourself a DS.

My first card had a $250 limit. But that was 10 years ago, when I was 18. The interest was 13%.

I just got my new MasterCard in the mail as well...20K limit

My Visa has a 17.5K limit

Don't owe a cent on either. Had them both for a few years.

Some good advice before about credit cards . Use it... alot. And pay it off every month. After a few months of perfect credit call the company and tell them you need a higher limit with a lower rate because you are going on vacation. Chances are very good they will up your limit to 2k minimum and lower your rate, which I'm guessing is around 16-18%.

Then use it... alot...and pay it off every month.

Credit is good. Do not listen to anyone who tells you to buy everything with cash. Criminals and drug dealers do that and no one trusts the "all cash" gang. Having a perfect credit rating can never be underestimated in its usefulness as a measure of your character....good or bad.
