Yep.. in fact I think they sell the stuff at the airport.

If you want just buy some at a store in larger quantaties. My buddy brought a case of soju to canada. I think it was a little over what you are technically allowed to bring, but they didn't seem to mind.

I dare you to buy one of those huge 10 dollar bottles, something like 6 or 8 litres. That'd be hilarious to unload on friends back home. And it'd take them forever to finish. You can find them in most larger grocery stores like Emart or lotte mart.

When I go home, I load up on those paper cartons of soju and put them in big baggies. They don't seem to register at customs. Very Happy

I brought a whole bunch of the big bottles home a few years ago to unleash on my friends...they didn't know what hit them...

I just put them in bags in my suitcase and no one at customs said anything.

Think about it. What's the duty on a 6000 won keg of soju. Even if it's 40% tarriff, it will still cost less than 10 bucks.

I plan on taking home (with my family) 3 bottles of Jamesons duty free. I will also take a giant jug of the nastiest, cheapest soju I can find. If they want to bill me for it, I will either pay it or give it up.

I wonder if my 3 year is allowed duty free....
