Hey guys

I am looking to increase my korean vocabulary and want to try to learn by reading some books. I am already using various korean lesson plans/programs etc. But I think it would help to have something that isn't as boring. If anyone knows of links to ebooks that are in korean it would be great. Preferably something around the grade 6 level. Something that is not overly simple like 'the dog says roof, the cow says moo'. And something not overly complicated like a 600 page science fiction novel.

I'm not 'specifically' asking for you to offer me pirated information. We all know that free ebooks exist. that being said, PM if there's something you don't want to post on here...

other than that, post links to the books and perhaps a brief description.

I can't read a lot in korean yet. nor write, especially with this current computer. So it's a little hard for me to do the searching on my own.

Thanks in advance.

Well, if you get an iRiver D5, or probably any other number of Korean to English electronic dictionaries these days. You could just copy text from the internet, load it onto the dictionary and then use the "jump" function from the eBook Reader of the dictionary to translate the text.

You should be able to find some free reading material online. At the very least you could get some newspaper articles.

I've been meaning to do this myself but am a lazy language learner.

It's a pretty sweet little toy. Mine is 4GB and it also functions a media player.

This has some children Bible stories in different languages.

Here's another link with some children stories in Korean.

This website has links to children stories, with translations available for some. But I'd beware of anything automatically translated with Google.
