Anyone familiar with particular styles which are structurally re-integrative?
I've been Rolfed before, and was impressed with the results. I know they've got one Rolfer in Seoul, but that is far from me. I'm in Busan. Rolfing takes 10 sessions.
So, I'm interested in two things: 1) styles, and 2) what's in Korea. That is, the style question is independent. |

they also have acupuncture.
There's a few meditation groups that work with energy. They may do some sort of laying on hands.
I can also do healinghands/laying of hands/reiki. I'm not a professional by any means. But I can give you some feedback.
There are also a whole slew of tarot card readers in seoul if you're interested. |

I am a professional body worker taking time off to travel and teach. I have trained with some of the best. I am not impressed by what I see here so far. Most acupucturists have forgotten the real reasons for doing the therapy. Rolfing is so out dated and creates a false overly emotional state. The current practices that are good are N.S.A. a non cracking style of chiropractic and 12 stages of healing is a book you can buy about breathing youre way back to health.
I would set up here if I could get past the visa mess- but it looks too difficult. I really like the work of people like Echarte Tolle and teachers that teach present time awareness. Also the is a cd you can buy or down load called kundalini by osho that has a 1 hour meditation that I find very helpful.
In short be careful be careful of any practitioners that terat symptoms rather than the cause. Keep in mind that most really talented practitioners do not visit and teach in Korea. The reason is that their styles of work get copied and watered down buy practioners that want to make money more than give good quality work. Fly to Hong Kong and see Christine Rydel chiropractor for good quality energy work that is well researched and the practitioners are well trained. Acupunture can be good if you find the right person-so far I have only found people that are not well trained and work at a superficial symptom level. |

What I'm looking for, primarily, is someone who can help me to bring my pelvis back into balance. Lifting weights a few years ago, I injured a sacro-illiac joint. Now, I'm dealing with the consequences of that.
So, I'm looking for an integrative approach that'll help me to balance body mechanics.
Why do you think rofing is outdated? |
