when I first saw these guys I thought that if a teacher had a problem or was being fired for rediculous reasons (which happeneds every day) or was being terated badly, they would be able to help. But, after reading their website becasue I'm having serious work environment problems, as in it's terrible, I went to their site to see what they were about, and as far as I can tell, they can't help us with anything. Does anyone know what these guys do? Or why they exist.

They're not a free lawyer. They simply have organized how the law works in English and will answer questions if they have the time because they are being nice people.

If you want their undivided attention, offer them $500. You'll get their attention for a few hours at least.

Well, off the top of my head I'd say if they got involved in teacher-owner relations in the ESL biz in Korea, they'd end up doing nothing but 24/7. Given all the sh-t that can go down on both sides of the equation, who could really blame them?

Efl-law only gives advice. I got fired illegally and took my hagwon to the labor board and it was efl-law that told me exactly what I needed to do with immigration/labor board, etc. Really, I found no need for an actual live lawyer in the proceedings, it was easy enough to do just with a translator. Trying to find out Korean law though....good luck! That's where I needed help and that's where efl-law was invaluable.
