Wow, I'm finally here. No white people anywhere, it's amazing. If anyone lives near this subway stop and wants to grab a drink sometime let me know. I don't have a TV yet so I need to get out.

Haha, you will slowly start to see the occasional foreigner! I live one stop away at Seoul National University. I was walking home the other night and passed my local 7/11 and there I saw 4 foreigners having a drink outside. I almost went into shock! Laughing Welcome to the neighborhood!

PM me if you want to go for a drink, I can show you a few good bars in the area.

For really good fried chicken:

go to the street market south east of the subway stop - walk east, past the market, until the E-W roads end at a road the goes south - this south road goes uphill - walk uphill for a while until you find "Hoor" chicken, on the left - delicious - about a 10/15 mintue walk from the subway

thanks guys. I'm happy here and would love to meet some of you for a drink if you're in the area. as for right now, Friday night, when I LOVE going out back home, I'm so jetlagged still I'm too tired to do anything. I swear, I've taken sleeping pills the last two nights and slept the whole night straight thru. I find myself getting sleepy around noon again.

Alcohol will cure you of that problem....at least temporarily.

Yeah, I just drand half a thing of soju (my first bottle!) and a Cass (also my first) and apart of me wants to go out, but the smart part of me knows I can't because I'm scheduled to to meet a guy from the Korean Racquetball Federation at 2pm so I can kick his butt in racquetball.

Disclaimer: as posted on another thread I've drunk a lot of scotch & may claim alcoholic poisoning in the morning to account for anything I say or do...
