[quote="Zenas"]" So why are you here then? "
Probably for the same reasons most of you are:

| My home country is finished. |
What is your home country?

And if you could get the same health care for same amount there you'd be there and not here.
|
Actually it is free where I come from.

But you can't. So, here you are. Pining for home. |
I'm pretty happy actually and I don't lament the lack of white people here.
I hope you're not a white nationalists working in Korea. Because that would just be ultimately pathetic. |

I must've been incredibly lucky to have grown up with plenty of pets and animals around. At one stage I had a pet monkey, was nursing 2 sick birds back to health, a tortoise, 2 cats and their kittens, a dog, fish, and a cobra.
I get the impression Koreans think animals are either a joke, a deadly threat, a mortal enemy, stupid, or dirty. The ignorance of a life spent in an appartment block.... |
You had a cobra? Like to hear about that!
Koreans are into animals. Just small, non-smelly, inoffensive ones. Like hamsters. Even hamsters get shoved into the apt veranda by Mom since they're 'smelly' or rustle around at night. Cold out there and it's not good for them. Have heard this sort of story from kids often.
Cobra? |

| That Americans have their shit together when it comes to basic logistics in contract agreements. |

| That I took freedom of expression for granted. That as much as I've complained about how American's don't have a culture -- at least we respect other cultures! Workmates at home never make you feel warm and fuzzy like they do in Korea (unless someone's trying to hit on you), but back home no one will even dare to ask you to do something that's blatantly outside of your contract and responsibilities. We're boring but we actually have something called WORK ETHIC! |
The way you write is exactly how I would expect a soccer mom to write. One of those ditzy fat-headed dyed-blonde women driving around in an SUV and posting up American flags all over the place, on the way to your cushy real estate job. |

| That's funny. I think the opposite. I resent tipping back in the States now. I do not see an incentive when there's an expectation that servers receive at least 15%, or many will spit in your food. |
Really? Do they wedge open your esophagus and spit down your throat or are they prescient and can determine before they've even given you your food whether or not you're going to tip well? |
