I'm here now and have slept solid all night long for 4 nights in a row. I'm always waking up around 7:30am if not earlier. I'm still getting tired around noon and 4pm. If I try and sleep during those times I just lay there awake and can't fall asleep.
Any advice? How long until I'm acclamated to the time change?

Don't eat and force yourself to stay up until around 10 pm. Then force yourself to do 100 pushups, take a hot shower, wake up round 8 or 9, eat a light breakfast and you should be set.

So, I'm not supposed to eat all day? it's morning time and I'm already hungry. Do I do the 100 pushups before I sleep at 10pm or when I wake up tomorrow morning?

Don't listen to Lekker, that's some stupid, random advice.

It takes about two weeks of what you described for me to get over my jet lag.

Just do what you do, the weirdness will wear off in a week or so.

I've also heard that melatonin helps.

You pretty much have to drink your way through it. Get to a bar by 5:00 and work through your jet lag.

Try to get as much exposure to natural sunlight as possible - I had the same problem, it lasted about two months in my case.

Your advice works too but mine works faster. Eating when changing time zones drastically fs up your sleep patterns. So next time you fly to the other side of the world, skip your meals. When you get there, stay up until everyone goes to sleep. It will be rough, but it works like a charm. I've done it from Alaska to Amsterdam, Philadelphia to Korea, worked both times.

track down a pharmacy that sells melatonin. It helps your internal clock reset and there's no wierd side effects. Take one pill about a half hour before bed, for a day or two, and things should ease up
