My Korean is not very good. Does anybody know where I can find one of these in Korea? I have checked CL and eBay, and there are hundreds, but shipping from the States wouldn't be worth it. If anybody has one they aren't using and/or know where to buy one (from a store or online), it would be greatly appreciated!!

| I can help anyone get a new one for W400,000 (with drysack) in Korea or you can make me an offer on mine. Mine comes with a new spare tire and tube as well. |

| I want the trailer for my dog primarily. I am pretty sure the BOB would work. I would also like it for grocery/E-Mart runs. I definitely do not want to spend 400,000 for a new one. How old is yours? What condition is it in? Are you anywhere near Pohang? Thanks |

Yeh, you could rig it up for a dog real nice. I used it a lot for shopping and the occasional trip across South Korea and Vietnam. I have had it for 3 years. No damage to it...not bent or cracked anywhere. Little bit of surface rust on the under side I guess and some scratches. If you are picky I am sure you could get it sand blasted for cheap and paint it again yourself whatever color you please. It is nothing but metal so if you sand blast it and repaint it the thing is brand new again. It is the stock gray color now. I am in Seoul in Seodaemoon gu.
There are much better trailers out there for hauling kids though if you are thinking of that at all. I have seen plenty of them in Seoul too. A "Bob Yak" is definitely not child safe in any way. A kid sitting in it would make it top heavy and if it went over on its side a kid would smack their head right on the ground. |

| Alright, so how much are you looking for? It won't be for kids, just a dog or some groceriies. Let me know. Thanks |

I'm looking for half (W200,000) of what a new one costs in Korea. If I was leaving Korea or something I would sell it for 100,000 just to get rid of it. But right now, for beer money, I will just hold on to it until I get motivated enough to put it up on one of the Korean auction sites.
I wish there were used ones around when I bought mine three years ago, at the time there just weren't any. If W200,000 is too much for you to part with, you may want to check some Korean sites. There are more of these around Korea each year, so some of them may be hitting the auctions sites now. Just keep in mind it is just a piece of metal not a computer. The only difference between mine and a new one is a nice new paint job. 200,000 + 10,000 for paint or 400,000 for a new one. Like I said, I wish I would have had that option when I bought mine. |

i've never seen bob trailers, but i'm sure they're available in specialist bike shops.
however there's a brand (which i guess could be korean) called "Instep" (인스텝) which sells kids and cargo trailers for bikes.
www.danawa.com has them listed
the one for cargo (which you could easily use for your dogs) is about 250k new. |

I have seen a lot of those around and they are definitely more suited for dogs and kids. The "Bob" trailer is only intended for cargo. A guy in Seoul imports them from Taiwan (American company / manufactured in Taiwan) He told me he actually sells more in Japan than Korea. I think they are still a bit too pricey for most Koreans. Though there are plenty of Koreans out there that will drop a few million Korean won on a bike from the USA (even though they are paying mostly for import tax and the bike shop's profit).
Anyone who needs a trailer for a bike trip in Korea can let me know. Be glad to rent mine out for a trip. |
