does anyone know if Kung fu Panda is showing in English with korean subtittles or just in Korean?

Both, but make sure you catch a screening with "ja-mak (자막)." It's also being shown in digital.
It's a swell film, by the way. |

The rule of thumb at cinema's is that English movies are shown in English with Korean subtitles... I've probably seen more than 40 movies here, at 8 or so different cinemas amongst 3 different companies...and this has always been the case. The only thing to ever watch out for, is if an english movie has a lot of non-english in it... i.e. a James Bond flick; two dudes speaking Russian to eachother with Korean subtitles... (it's about 50/50 on this...sometimes there's just Korean subtitles, sometimes both English and Korean subtitles...)
Saw Kung Fu Panda yesterday, no issues, and was a pretty enjoyable film  |

Not always the case. Kung Fu Panda is also being shown dubbed into Korean, so don't go into the theater advertising (더빙). In fact, it is usually the case that animated/children's flicks are shown in both formats. Younger kids can't watch 2 minutes of a subtuitled flick without going stir crazy. The dubbed ones are for them to STFU and watch. |
