				| Army marching
only for those serious about getting in shape. Basically you walk along, pumping your arms up and down as if you were marching into battle. Even if you only walk 100m, the act of pumping those arms wildly burns a million more calories than anything else.

 backwards walking

The act of walking backwards, especially on a treadmill, makes you 25 times fitter than walking forwards, korean scientists have shown.

 Cellulite belt

leaning against a vibrating belt around your waist for an hour is equivalent to climbing paekdusan twice a day with a backback.

 Attend a helsuh club.

the simple act of sitting in a gym reading the paper is more effective than actually lifting any weights there. It will also alleviate any ill effects of the cigarette breaks you have while doing it.

				| You forgot "hanging upside down", "wearing a rubber shirt in mid-summer so you'll sweat so much you'll have a stroke" and "instructing the wayguk on how to lift weignts, even though he would rather choke himself than talk to you". | |

				| Most importantly, don't forget to walk around clapping your hands and pounding on your belly. | |

I haven't seen the belly pounding thing but I asked my coteacher about the hand-clapping. " very good for circulation" she replied.

 fight training

if you feel an argument with a woman, or maybe even another man- is in the works, just walk to the park and get prepared by slapping a tree trunk repeatedly.

				| I actually believe the clapping hands thing probably does help circulation. The belly banging is supposed to be for digestion. Not so convinced on that one yet...but still fun to watch. | |

				| I read somewhere that if you get your child to crawl backward, you can exponentially increase its IQ. Extrapolating from that I'd buy the idea that walking backward excites certain neurons causing a rise in frontal lobe higher cerebral function.
Apparently inverting oneself using that apparatus with wheelchair like pulleys causes the intestines to behave in a beneficial way and weight is predisposed to being lost. I'm open to more convincing on that one, but walking backward and increasing brainpower is more or less settled on as far as I go. Not that I'd ever do it, boring as all get out.

Pumping the arms power walking? yes, well, you couldn't do it in my home country without causing a stir and finger pointing mirth, but you should give it a shot, after 400 meters you dispense with all the hurrumphing and scoffing.

I'll believe that too. I try to do at least a few activities with my non-dominant hand every day to stir up my brain a bit (ie. brush teeth, walk with left foot first, etc.)

If doing things half assed and backwards made you smarter, Korea would be calling the shots instead of China and Japan.

				| Don't forget
 Retirement blasting
Where the participant blows $14,000,000 on a titanium mountain bike, which would cost only $4500 USD and was NOT allowed to be test ridden, only to be ridden on flat paved bikepaths or a concrete hill at worst.

				| sorry couldn't miss out this one..
using your body weight to push weights

If you simply hang on a pull-down bar with your feet off the floor, allowing your body weight to pull down the weights instead of your arm muscles...
....you'll find it so much easier!
 .

.. and be able to do 10X the amount of reps than if you were actually working the muscles the machine was actually designed for

				| there is also this weird machine that's basically just a piece of wood that turns- ladies put their legs on it, it's like a massager. they stay there for hours.
let's not forget the sauna in the locker room. the ladies like to lie down there and read magazines for hours, keeping other people from using it.

and what about the towel fashion? those small towels look good either wrapped around your neck, or worn on your head as a hat.
